In 2014, the Board of Directors of EPM approved the sourcing and acquisition of a data analytics software tool to reduce and control non-technical losses of energy and water. The specific objectives outlined in the Request for Proposal (RFP) for their National Energy subsidiaries included:
Reducing the current non-technical loss index from 9.25% to 8.00%, while recovering 183 GWh in lost resources in a period not exceeding five years.
Garner new intelligence in support of determining additional ROI gains through future investments in Smart Grid technologies.
EPM selected a partnership proposal in May, 2015 from CHOICE Revenue Intelligence™ and SAP Colombia as their solution to reduce and control non-technical losses of energy and water.
